Meet Butterkup!
A young and very frightened mama cat, BUTTERKUP came into our rescue in the spring of 2025 with four tiny kittens. With the help of her foster mom, she lovingly raised her babies, and all four have since found their forever homes. A protective and caring mama, BUTTERKUP was initially very frightened and cautious around people. She has made wonderful progress and is now much more relaxed with her foster family. She interacts with them most comfortably through play. Butterkup is a quiet, thoughtful girl who enjoys watching what's going on around her, both inside and outside through the windows of her foster home. She loves spending time with other cats and would benefit from having one or more friendly, social feline companions in her forever home. She has also been exposed to and is comfortable around well-trained dogs. Butterkup will need a patient, sensitive and understanding adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to continue building confidence and learning to accept and enjoy human affection. With the right person, she has the potential to become a wonderful, loyal and loving companion.
